Krinklewood Vineyard is Certified Biodynamic Organic. Every aspect of this Hunter Valley Winery and Vineyard is managed in a holistic and sustainable way. No herbicides or pesticides are used.
Owner and Vigneron, Rod Windrim is a true believer in the fundamental good that biodynamics offers vineyards, the wine industry, consumers of wine and our environmental future. Krinklewood has been using Biodynamic Organic practices for more than 12 years with outstanding results.
The Windrim family’s vision for Krinklewood is to be completely self-sustaining. This means all biodynamic composts and preparations will be made on site, with all ingredients being home-grown and the farm animals contributing ‘naturally’ to the biodynamic cycle. With acres of herb and vegetable gardens, mountain size compost heaps and farm animals including cows, sheep, horses, pigs, chooks, ducks, peacocks and bees – this vision of self-sustaining biodiversity is already quite real.
“Working biodynamically is extremely motivating and addictive. It has allowed us to be almost totally self-sustaining and as a result our farm has healthy soil, plants and animals – which is without doubt reflected in our wines.. ” says Rod Windrim.
Krinklewood’s French inspired boutique winery is set amongst beautiful Provencal gardens, urns and fountains overlooking the vineyards and olive trees, and nestled in the picturesque Broke Fordwich Valley. Krinklewood offers guests and wine club members a Hunter Valley wine tasting experience with a difference. For those lucky enough to have the time to sit and enjoy the gorgeous garden surrounds, cheese platters are also available. Wines available for tasting include Verdelho, Semillon, Chardonnay, Rose, Shiraz, Dessert wine, Sparkling styles as well as premium Reserve wines and Basket Press wines.

Krinklewood’s Cellar Door offers guests a unique Hunter Valley winery experience with award winning biodynamic organic wines available for tasting in a gorgeous setting. Cheese platters are available if you wish to sit and enjoy the cellar door gardens and at key seasonal times we have homegrown seasonal produce – such as honey, olive oil and eggs. There is no need to book in for a tasting, although as our cellar door is small & intimate, we would appreciate any group bookings ( ie: between 6 & 12 max ) by prior appointment by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0299861644.
